This weekend’s episode of Indian Idol Season 14 promises an energetic showcase featuring special guests from the upcoming film Sam Bahadur—Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Shaikh, and Sanya Malhotra. In a special Dil Bole India episode, the trio will lend their support to contestants injecting a patriotic spirit into their musical performances. One standout participant, Vaibhav Gupta, known as Chote Sahab from Kanpur, is gearing up to captivate the audience once again.
His rendition of an iconic track from Aamir Khan’s movie Rang De Basanti reportedly will leave a lasting impression on judges Kumar Sanu, Shreya Ghoshal, and Vishal Dadlani, as well as guest judges Vicky and Sanya.
As per a report in Pinkvilla, the Masaan star complemented Vaibhav’s singing skills saying, “I was told to come on Indian Idol the show, not Indian Idol the concert. That is what your performance was like.” On the other hand, the Dangal actress who was equally stunned by his talent stated, “From musicians to everyone singing with you, we were waiting to get on stage with you. Your performance was brilliant, you were having fun on stage.”
Judge Shreya Ghoshal also lauded Vaibhav Gupta on Indian Idol 14 for his remarkable performance. She spoke about his exceptional energy and passion, highlighting the beauty in his singing. Shreya Ghoshal further appreciated how he expressed every note and word beautifully, mentioning that she was deeply immersed in the emotions of his performance.
Meanwhile, the upcoming episode of Indian Idol Season 14 aims to reignite patriotic feelings ahead of India’s match against Australia in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Final scheduled for November 19. Most recently, Vicky Kaushal was clicked with Kunal Kemmu and director Anand Tiwari, as they attended the World Cup semi-final between India and New Zealand.
Sam Bahadur directed by Meghna Gulzar, features not only Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra but also talented actors like Neeraj Kabi, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Govind Namdev among others in key roles. This biographical drama is about the life of Sam Manekshaw, India’s inaugural Field Marshal and a respected Indian Army officer. The film is scheduled to release on December 1, 2023, clashing with Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal.
On the other hand, Indian Idol 14 is being judged by a panel consisting of Shreya Ghoshal, Kumar Sanu and Vishal Dadlani, while Hussain Kuwajerwala has returned to hosting duties.
