Popular television actress Mahhi Vij is making headlines once again, but this time, the news may be disheartening for her fans. Mahhi Vij has been hospitalised after being diagnosed with Chikungunya. Reports suggest that she had been experiencing joint pain for some time. This prompted her to seek medical attention and undergo tests.
Often sharing glimpses of her personal life, Mahhi Vij also posted a snap on Instagram Stories from a hospital bed, with her back facing the camera. The picture, however, has now disappeared given the 24-hour feature of the photo-sharing application.
A few hours later, Mahhi Vij shared another heartfelt picture on her Instagram. In the image, she is seen lying on a hospital bed with her father seated beside her, looking lovingly at him while smiling. Along with the photo, the television star simply wrote “Papa” and added the song Humdard from the film Ek Villain in the background.
Mahhi Vij and her father share a deep and loving bond. Just last month, the actress posted a heartfelt clip on social media showing her caring for her ailing dad. In the touching caption, she expressed her love and gratitude, writing, “These 10 days of my life have been the toughest. My father who is my pillar, does every bit of my work so that I can be comfortable. Today when he needs me I want to possibly do everything to see him walking as he use to. I feel half of healing happens when they see there kids, a nurse can not do what you can or for that matter help. I feel proud to be there for my father and hopefully in a months time he will be as he was.”
Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali have been happily married for several years. The couple gained fame after winning the dance reality show Nach Baliye 5 in 2013. Mahhi also showcased her talent in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 and later demonstrated her bravery by participating in the stunt-based reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7.
