Sony has announced its festive Diwali discount on the PlayStation 5 Slim consoles. The company is offering a Rs 5,000 discount as part of its limited-time offer for the Disc (CFI-2008A01) and Digital (CFI-2008B01) editions of the consoles. The special prices, starting at Rs 49,990 will be available for a limited period this month.

Sony’s special price of the PlayStation 5 Slim model is valid till October 23. Customers may buy the consoles at discounted rates via Sony Centre, Flipkart, Amazon, and other major retail stores.
PlayStation 5 Slim Features
The PS5 Slim shares the same chipset as the standard PlayStation 5. The Slim is powered by an 8-core AMD Ryzen Zen 2 CPU and AMD RDNA 2 GPU. With lightning-fast load speeds, the device supports 4K Blu-ray discs to offer a high-definition output with no lag. The device can run AAA games with no issues.
In terms of design, the PS5 Slim is thinner than the standard PS5. It features an SSD for 1TB of storage and 16GB of GDDR6 RAM. While the digital edition allows digital copies of the titles, the disc edition can play Blu-ray discs up to 4K in resolution. The PS5 Slim has Ethernet, HDMI, and USB connections for connectivity. Virtual Reality (VR) gaming is made possible for users of the PS5 Slim by its compatibility with the PS VR2 headsets.

Sony India is also offering a three-year comprehensive warranty on select models in addition to instant cashback of up to Rs 25,000 as part of their Diwali offer. Customers can additionally get a free EMI plan on select Bravia models. Furthermore, Sony is providing a single combo EMI program for soundbars and televisions, with discounts of up to Rs 64,990 on Bravia TV and soundbar combos and the scheme starts at Rs 2,995.
A starting price of Rs 79,990 will also be offered for Sony’s high-end Bravia Theatre soundbars. The premium Bravia Theatre Quad costs Rs 1,99,990 and comes with an initial cashback of Rs 12,000 and an EMI option that starts at Rs 5,995.
