New Delhi: Apple is reportedly not going to unwrap a new TV at the WWDC 2015 conference scheduled in the next week.
It was speculated earlier that the tech giant could introduce an Internet TV service at its annual developers event. However, latest report indicates that there won’t be any Apple TV hardware on display either.
The speculated set-top box was said to include an improved remote control and finally allow Apple developers to create apps for the television screen.
This year, Apple is instead focused on Apple Watch- its first smartwatch, and its plan to launch a proper SDK for its wearables, The Verge notes.
It is possible that the device is not ready for the event just yet. Also, Apple’s Internet TV service is said to be far from completion as the company is still taming the price, rights, and technology issues.
The tech giant’s ambitions of including live, local broadcast networks on a nationwide scale is also said to have marred a possible roll out at the next week’s conference. Now the company aims to launch the Internet TV offering later this year or in 2016.
