Microsoft Paint has reached the end of the line as Microsoft has announced the discontinuation of the classic ‘draw and paint’ software by the company. An upcoming Microsoft Windows 10 update may see Microsoft Paint being entirely removed or “deprecated" from the platform. The Windows 10 Fall Creators update, scheduled for later this year, will also see the discontinuation of software like Reader app, Reading List and Outlook Express.
Microsoft Paint was included in every edition of Microsoft Windows and lasted for a full 32 years since the very first Microsoft Windows OS back in 1985. Last year, Microsoft had launched a 3D version of Paint, to let users create 3D images. The discontinuation of the software comes as a surprise and will surely leave many Windows users in nostalgia.
