LG Watch Urbane: LG launches new Android Wear smartwatch with an all-metal body at Rs 30,000 in India
The LG Watch Urbane runs the latest Android Wear OS, includes WiFi connectivity, has an improved user interface, and lets you draw emojis in response to messages or mails.

New Delhi: LG has rolled out its premium smartwatch, the LG Watch Urbane, to its Indian consumers. The smartwatch was introduced at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona.

The LG Watch Urbane is said to be the first new Android Wear device that features the latest version of the Android Wear OS which works seamlessly with smartphones running Android 4.3 and above.

The watch features an all-metal body and is available in polished silver and gold finish and sports a natural leather strap which can be replaced with any other 22mm wide band as per requirement.

The LG Watch Urbane features 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, runs on Android, has a display of 1.3-inch and includes a 410mAh battery.

The dust and water resistant smartwatch has a memory of 4GB, 512 MB of RAM and comes in Gold and Silver colours.

The latest OS allows users to send emoticons by drawing them directly on the smartwatch and send it to another Android Wear watch, smartphone, or computer. It also includes newly added feature of WiFi connectivity, always-on apps, and an improved UX.

The smartwatch includes the ability to change the font size and see notifications even when looking at another function on the display, such as directions. Another added feature locks the screen of the watch automatically when it is removed from the wrist.

The LG Watch Urbane comes with two new features, LG Call and LG Pulse. The LG Call feature lets you access recent calls and favourite contacts list on the connected smartphone to speed-dial from the watch. The LG Pulse feature is for health monitoring and measures your heart rate every second during exercise with no maximum time limit.

The LG smartwatch comes with a price of Rs 30,000.
