Listed on Kickstarter, Fogo flashlight includes GPS, Bluetooth, voice and text messaging, and a USB backup battery. Whether you are hiking or cycling, navigating or camping, Fogo serves as an all-in-one device that could fit in your travel kit and function as a digital Swiss army knife.
The smart flashlight allows you to share your location and its motion tracker tells you how far and where you have come. Its Walkie-Talkie SmartCap offers real-time voice communications.
For solo explorers, this smart flashlight includes a crash detection feature that detects forces consistent with crash or fall. It then sends an alert on its screen and ask you if you need help. If you don’t respond, it sends out a radio message to your friends that you need assistance.
It can also be set to blink when bumped, thereby making it easier to locate in a dark tent. It further offers adaptive lighting, advanced power management, and an emergency beacon among other features.
It comes with a lanyard, a belt clip, a bike mount adapter, and a GoPro Mount Adapter and offers two choices in reflectors: narrow beam and wide beam.
The Fogo flashlight comes at a price starting $199 onwards. Its build-to-order variant will start shipping in January 2016.
