Adobe is bringing new AI features to its products this week. Adobe Illustrator was upgraded on July 23 with new artificial intelligence (AI) technologies that are intended to simplify the design creation process for users. One of the new tools is the Generative Shape Fill tool, which generates pattern vectors within a shape. Style Reference, Retype, and Mockup are among the additional tools. They are powered by the Firefly Vector Model.
Meanwhile, the firm has added a few new tools to Photoshop, including an AI-powered Generate Image function that creates a baseline image to assist artists get inspired for their work.
Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop will get new tools, according to a post. The former will be upgraded with a variety of AI-powered features, some of which will only be available to beta testers. Among these, the Generative Shape Fill tool (beta) may generate patterns and detailed vectors for any shape added by the designer. A new Contextual Taskbar allows you to add these vectors via text prompts. The company has released a brief video demonstrating how the feature works.
It comes with a Style Reference tool that lets users edit and resize a created vector. This program allows users to manipulate the subjects, sceneries and icons in the AI-generated pattern in a way that best suits their aesthetic.
Another tool, Mockup (beta), may generate visual mockups of art on objects such as clothing, product packaging, and so on. The created vectors will automatically change to fit the object’s curves and edges, the company claimed. The Firefly Vector model powers all of these features.
Furthermore, Adobe Illustrator now includes many assistance tools. The Dimension tool allows users to simply map the correct size for projects. Similarly, the Retype tool transforms static text into live, editable text, and the Enhanced Pan and Zoom feature is supposed to zoom from 3.13 per cent to 64,000 per cent with smoother performance.
This update also included new features for Adobe Photoshop. Generate Image, powered by the Firefly Image 3 model, can create a baseline image with a text prompt to assist users with ideation and production. When creating a new project, the image replaces the blank page.
In addition, Photoshop’s existing Generative Fill capability will be expanded with an Enhance Detail tool that can improve the sharpness and detail of AI-generated images and backgrounds. Users can utilise the Selection Brush tool to choose, compose, and apply filters.
The most recent Firefly Vector model-powered features are now available within the Adobe Illustrator program. As previously indicated, several of the tools are just in beta. All of the new Photoshop capabilities are also accessible on the desktop and web versions.
