Makers Of Demonte Colony 2 To Drop The Trailer On This Date

In 2015, Tamil filmmaker R Ajay Gnanamuthu made a horror thriller film named Demonte Colony, sans any A-list stars. The movie starred Arulnithi and Ramesh Thilak and turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office. The film exceeded expectations regarding performance, a feat critics hailed as the film did not have any A-lister stars. Fans had been demanding a sequel for a very long time and seven years later in 2022, a sequel was finally announced with Ajay Gnanamuthu returning as the director.

Named Demonte Colony 2, the movie entered production early this year and is now complete with the trailer ready to terrify the audience with its dark horror content. The trailer for Demonte Colony 2 will be released today, December 16 at 6 PM. The same was stated by the makers on Friday on social media. The movie will serve as a direct sequel to the 2015 original, picking up where the first film finished.

Ajay previously revealed to Cinema Express that, in contrast to the first instalment, which featured humorous scenes in its opening scenes, the sequel will be a full-fledged horror movie. “The story will capture your attention right away and prevent you from getting sidetracked.” He says that to enjoy this instalment, one must be aware of the events in the first film. “The first movie came out eight years ago, so not many people will recognise the sequences. However, we have prepared campaigns that can successfully remind viewers of the important details.” He suggests giving the first film another viewing before watching Demonte Colony 2.

While Arulnithi reprises his role from Demonte Colony, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Antti Jaaskelainen, Tsering Dorjee, Arun Pandian, Muthukumar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Sarjano Khalid, and Archana R also star in Demonte Colony 2. The filmography for the horror thriller is by Harish Kannan, and the soundtrack is by Sam CS. Produced by Bobby Balachandran, Demonte Colony 2 is a joint venture between RC Rajkumar’s Gnanamuthu Pattarai and Vijay Subramanian’s White Nights Entertainment.
