Talking about the storyline of the film, Kerebete is about the popular custom of fishing events in Malnad, Karnataka. The event is known as lake hunting. In a pre-release interview, Gowrishankar highlighted the film’s portrayal of the lifestyle and rustic charm of the people involved in this event. The film has received a lot of support from Kannada actors, including Dhruva Sarja, Chaithra J Acahar, Ajay Rao and Prem.
