Vyapam is nothing but a conspiracy by opposition parties, says MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan
Chouhan, in his letter said that all necessary steps have been taken to ensure a fair probe into the scam.

New Delhi: Making his stand clear in the contentious Vyapam scam, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan wrote a letter to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shanta Kumar replying to the queries that he had raised.

Chouhan, in his letter said that all necessary steps have been taken to ensure a fair probe into the scam. "It would have been better if facts related to Vyapam had been gathered before shooting off letter to party president," Chouhan wrote in the letter.

"All necessary steps have been taken to provide justice to victims of Vyapam case. I am fully committed for fair probe in this case. Vyapam is nothing but the conspiracy by opposition parties," Chouhan added.

However, Kumar told CNN-IBN that he has not received any letter from Chouhan yet. "I have not received any letter as of now written by him. I will not comment unless I get the copy of the letter," he said.

Kumar had written a letter to party President Amit Shah saying that the multi-crore Vyapam scam has dented the image of the National Democratic Alliance.

He had also raised concern over allegations the party is facing in the Rajasthan and Maharashtra and said it is affecting the morale of the party workers. He even called for setting up an ethics committee to act as a Lokpal to keep a check on party leaders.
