New Delhi The controversy over revised electricity rates in Delhi has not subsided. Social activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal has once again attacked Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on the power rate, which he claims are too high and leading to inflated bills. The Delhi Chief Minister, too, through her statements has not endeared herself to the people.
Sheila Dikshit on Thursday asked the people to pay the bill or their electricity connection would be cut. Dikshit has come under severe criticism from Kejriwal and other political opponents for what they called was an anti-people statement.
Kejriwal targeted Sheila, saying she must get her cut her electricity connection disconnected because she is not paying the bills. Sheila has been accused of favouring the power distribution companies.
Kejriwal has given a call to Delhi residents to join his protest against the revised power rates by switiching off the lights from 7 pm to 8 pm on November 3.
