West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday, in an indirect reference to right wing groups, said that some people were are conspiring against the state government in the name of cow protection.

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday, in an indirect reference to right wing groups, said that some people were are conspiring against the state government in the name of cow protection.

"We condemn the killings taking place in India in the name of gau raksha. This must stop now. Just words are not enough. The DGP is here and I would like to tell all the police stations to intensify their vigil to prevent incidents of communal disharmony in Bengal. We will never allow communal disharmony in this state," said the Chief Minister.
