New Delhi: The 17 Indians who were evacuated from conflict zones in Iraq have been safely moved out of the war-torn country, said Ministry of External Affairs on Wednesday.

In addition to the 17 Indians, two more nurses were on Wednesday shifted to Karbala from sensitive areas.

However, while the 46 nurses in Tikrut continue to be trapped, the Indians held captive in Mosul are still under the custody of ISIS militants.

The Ministry of External Affairs is making arrangements for the return of Indians stranded in Iraq. It also said that all the Indian nationals were safe in Iraq.
