Mahagathbandhan led by Janata Dal United, Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress on Saturday announced their seat sharing plan for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

While both RJD and JDU will fight on 101 seats each, Congress will be fighting on 41 seats. The seats were announced by JDU Bihar chief Bashistha Narain Singh in a press conference at Patna. He was flanked by RJD and Congress leaders.

In the last Assembly elections in 2010, the JDU had contested 141 seats in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party which had fought on 102. But Nitish broke the alliance with BJP in June 2013 over the projection of Narendra Modi as the prime ministerial candidate for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
