Pritam’s mother Padma Mandal said that they left Sandeshkhali in 2021 for the sake of the future of her sons.
Since the death of his father, Pratim and his family have been going through financial trouble. “The house was attacked in 2021. Shops were ransacked. Everything was looted,” his mother told the news agency, adding that the accused is still out and hence there is no question of returning there fully now.
Talking about Pritam’s success in the HS exams, his mother told the news agency, “Pritam’s father also wanted his two sons to do something good. Pritam has scored well today. His father would have been very happy.”
Since the very beginning, Pritam wanted to become an IPS officer and aims to shift to Delhi to prepare for UPSC, his mother Padma said. He has a younger brother, Anubhav who is currently studying in class 12.
