176. Harsud is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Betul (ST) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Harsud falls in Khandwa district and Malwa Tribal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 1,96,152 voters in the seat, which includes 1,01,682 male voters, and 94,464 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Harsud recorded a voter turnout of 78.61%. In 2013 the turnout was 71.37%, and in 2008 it was 71.33%.
In 2013, Kuvar Vijay Shah of BJP won the seat by a margin of 43,571 votes (32.33%). Kuvar Vijay Shah secured 54.83% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 21,041 votes (20.65%), registering 55.34% of the total votes polled.
