Bhopal: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti on Saturday demanded that Congress President Sonia Gandhi clarify whether the statements made against yoga guru Baba Ramdev by some Congress leaders were endorsed by her party.
Talking to reporters at her residence in Bhopal, Bharti said that if the statements were a part of the "Congress policy" then Sonia must make public the details of properties owned by her and her family too.
Bharti did not name any Congress leader. But recently, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh had demanded following Ramdev's statements on black money that the yoga guru should reveal his own sources of income.
Answering a question, Bharti said it was too early to say anything about whether she would join the political party that Ramdev was planning to float.
However, she asserted that she was not quitting politics.
"I will remain in politics till the end of my life," the former BJP leader said.
Sometime ago, amidst reports of her possible return to BJP, Bharti had said that she would work along apolitical lines for various issues of public interests.
