Hoshangabad: Under attack from Congress over BS Yeddyurappa's arrest, BJP on Sunday said while the former Karnataka Chief Minister resigned immediately after being named by the Lokayukta, no action has been taken against the Delhi Chief Minister despite a CAG report on Commonwealth Games.
"When the Lokayukta report was out, the BJP Parliamentary Board asked Yeddyurappa to resign. And he did. On the other hand despite Shunglu Committee and CAG reports against Sheila Dikshit no action has been taken," party's chief spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters in Hoshangabad.
He said Delhi Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan was bailed out by the Home Ministry despite an adverse report by the state Lokayukta.
Prasad also claimed that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was supporting Home Minister P Chidambaram even though "new evidences" are emerging against him in the 2G case.
"First he said (former Telecom Minister) A Raja was innocent, now he is in jail," he said.
Prasad was replying to a volley of questions on the arrest of Yeddyurappa on graft charges at a time when BJP leader LK Advani was undertaking Jan Chetna Yatra against corruption.
