BIADA scam: Prasad slams RJD for targeting NDA
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has rightly ordered a probe in the BIADA land scam.

Patna: The BJP on Sunday slammed the RJD for its bid to corner the NDA government on the alleged BIADA land scam involving influential ministers and bureaucrats and said that a party that had been riled for scams, including fodder scam, during 15 years' rule had no moral right to point accusing fingers at others.

"A party (RJD) whose rule was known for scams has no no moral right to point fingers at the NDA on the alleged BIADA land scam," the BJP national spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has rightly ordered a probe in the matter and it will act on the basis of the enquiry report if any irregularity has taken place in the land allotment to the kin of ministers and bureaucrats, he said.

"The RJD and Congress were enacting drama to sully the image of the state government on the alleged land scam," Prasad said adding that the opposition's tactics will not affect the ruling coalition's integrity in the public eye.

On the CAG report pointing out financial mismanagement in Bihar, the BJP national spokesman said that as per the constitutional norms the matter will be vetted by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the state legislature.

The CAG reports about audit of the state's finances are tabled in the state legislature and vetted by the PAC, Prasad said adding that it was not appropriate for the opposition to score brownie points before the completion of review of the documents by the duly authorized committee of the members of the state legislature.
