Patna: Within hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi took on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at a rally in Gaya, the latter hit back reminding the former Gujarat chief minister of ex-PM AB Vajpayee’s “Rajdharma" suggestion.
Reacting to the remark of the PM, describing JD(U) as “Janata Daman aur Utpeedan", the Bihar Chief Minister tweeted that the whole country is aware of Vajpayee’s suggestion to Modi on following “Rajdharma".
Hitting out at the Prime Minister over his recent DNA jibe, Kumar said that while Modi had earlier talked about DNA and “now called Bihar ‘Bimaru’ and residents ill-fated", and that by doing this, he had proved his pre-conceived notion.
Kumar also targeted Modi’s close aide and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah. “You (PM Modi) said a person brings bad qualities from a jail. Please tell us what bad qualities your party’s president Amit Shah had brought from jail," said Kumar.
Nitish Kumar (@NitishKumar) August 9, 2015
Kumar on Sunday took on PM Modi from the front as the latter visited the state for a political rally. The rally was organised at Gaya, the land of Buddha.
Just ahead of the rally, the Bihar CM had dared PM Modi of promising to people that his party would not give poll tickets to criminals.
No better place to start than from the land of Budhha. We commit no tickets to criminals. Now,show courage & commit to this in Bihar today— Nitish Kumar (@NitishKumar) August 9, 2015
Meanwhile, addressing the rally in Gaya, Modi on Sunday trained his guns on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and called his party Janata Dal United as 'Janata ka Daman aur Utpeedan'.
He said, "The JDU stands for 'Janata ka Daman aur Utpidan'." Modi asked people not to give a second chance to those who have ruined the state for 25 years.
Hitting out at the grand alliance of the JDU and Lalu Prasad's Rashtriya Janata Dal, Modi said, "I do not know who is Bhujang Prasad and who is Chandan Kumar. I do not know who is having poison and who is serving it?"
The remarks came weeks after Lalu had said, "I want to assure the secular forces and the people of India that in this battle of Bihar, I am ready to gulp everything. Hum har tarah ka ghoont peene ko taiyar hain. Hum har tarah ka zehar peene ko taiyar hain. (I am ready to drink all types of poison)."
Modi said that the poison that has been consumed will be spewed and affect people of Bihar as RJD and JDU alliance will not last for long.
