Addressing a press conference, Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman attacked AAP saying that "falsehood and anarchy" have become Kejriwal's "distinct identity".

New Delhi: In its latest batch of questions, Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday alleged a "nexus" between tax-evading companies and Aam Aadmi Party and accused the Arvind Kejriwal-led party of ignoring issues involving people from the Northeast living in Delhi in its manifesto.

Addressing a press conference, Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman attacked AAP saying that "falsehood and anarchy" have become Kejriwal's "distinct identity".

"What is the nexus between tax-evading companies and Kejriwal and is this a case of quid pro quo for benefits extended to them during Kejriwal's tenure?" Sitharaman asked.

On the issue of people from the Northeast staying in Delhi, she wondered why AAP had not even a cursory mention of them in its manifesto.

BJP also sought to grill AAP on the policy front by posing questions on its housing and traffic policy saying that the party had no plans to make Delhi a global city.

"Why has Kejriwal not come up with any plan to build smart cities in Delhi? While BJP has clearly outlined a vision to decongest the roads of Delhi by building a third ring road, why has not only Kejriwal failed to come out with any plan to solve the traffic congestion?" she asked.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'jaha jhuggi, waha makaan' slogan, the Minister also questioned AAP's claim of building pucca houses from slum-dwellers.

"Why is Kejriwal then talking of uprooting slum dwellers through his housing scheme at distant locations and thereby rendering them jobless?" she asked.

What's your reaction?
