AAP Has Violated The Ethics of Politics, Says Justice Hegde
Hegde said, “AAP has lost the confidence of people. Big talks, and no work. The party has violated ethics of politics. People are fed up. They feel there is no difference between them and others.”

Bengaluru: “Talking about EVMs after the defeat is not good. Not the right thing to do,” this is an advice to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from N Santosh Hegde, former Supreme Court judge and former Lokayukta of Karnataka, who was part of the leadership team which had launched India Against Corruption movement.

In a conversation with News18 after the MCD election results on Wednesday, Hegde said, “AAP has lost the confidence of people. Big talks, and no work. The party has violated ethics of politics. People are fed up. They feel there is no difference between them and others.”

When asked about the possibility of those who had left AAP taking the alternative politics initiative forward, Hegde said, “Yes, it is possible. Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan are already on it.”

Blaming Kejriwal for the current state of the party which emerged from the anti-corruption movement, the Lokayukta of Karnataka said, “Kejriwal ignored his own seat in Delhi and was busy chasing a national role. It was a hasty decision. In his eagerness to project himself as an all India leader, he has ignored local issues.”

Hegde said AAP should focus on governance issues in Delhi first. “Delhi voters are educated. They closely observe everything. City is facing issues like garbage, health, pollution etc. AAP must focus on them,” he added.
