The Union Public Services Commission Civil Services Exam (UPSC CSE) Mains 2023 result date will likely be revealed by this coming weekend, as per media reports. The UPSC CSE results are released by UPSC 50 days following the test, in accordance with past year trends. As a result, the UPSC result for CSE Mains 2023 is projected to be issued by the first week of December. Approximately 14,624 individuals qualified for the UPSC prelims test 2023 and were eligible to take the mains test on September 15, 16, 17, 23, and 24. UPSC will announce the results on the official website, upsc.gov.in, once they are available.

According to the UPSC CSE vacancy 2023, a total of 1105 openings are published, and applicants must pass all three stages- Prelims, Mains, and Interview- to be selected for the position. The UPSC prelims IAS exam contains two 400-mark examinations, whereas the mains papers have a total of 2,350 points. The mains test was divided into two sessions: one in the morning from 9 am to 12 pm, and another in the afternoon from 2 pm to 5 pm.

There are nine papers on the UPSC CSE Mains test, all of which are descriptive in nature. According to the selection criteria, the interview round will be held by the commission following the UPSC CSE Mains results in 2023. The selected applicants’ names and roll numbers will appear on the UPSC CSE Mains test 2023 merit list.

Around 6 lakh applicants took the test in 2022, with 13,090 being selected and appearing in the final exam. There were 2,070 individuals shortlisted for the interview process, with 933 chosen for the position. The UPSC Mains Exam 2022 was held on September 16, 17, 18, 24, and 25 of last year. However, the results were made available on December 6, 2022.

The ratio of individuals shortlisted for the interview phase is normally about 1:3, which means that around one in every three candidates who pass the Mains test will be invited for the interview. This reflects the extremely competitive character of the selection process and emphasises the significance of achieving well in both the Mains Examination and the interview.
