New Delhi: Sri Lankan batting legend Sanath Jayasuriya has hailed the Indian Cricket Team and Virat Kohli in particular, for their scintillating on field performances over the past few months.
Speaking at an event in the capital, Jayasuriya lavished praise on Team India.
“At the moment, the Indian Cricket Team is performing well in every department of the game – be it batting, bowling or fielding”, the legendary southpaw told reporters.
Jayasuriya also praised Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli both as a captain and as a player.
“Virat Kohli is doing well as a captain and as a batsman. Overall as a player I think he is doing really well”,said Jayasuriya.
Virat Kohli led India to a dominating 3-0 Test series win over New Zealand that helped India reclaim the numero uno spot in Test cricket.
The Men in Blue drubbed the Kiwis in the first ODI at Dharamsala on Sunday, winning the match by a comfortable margin of 6 wickets.
