The University of Delhi (DU) has announced the academic calendar for several master’s and bachelor’s programmes for the 2023-24 session. Classes for semester 1 are slated to begin today, November 20, 2023, according to the schedule. The academic calendar, which caters to MA courses in Hindu Studies, Korean, and Chinese has been issued. Other courses that will follow this schedule are BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), Integrated Teacher Education Programme, and Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security and Law (PGDCSL).
DU Academic Calendar:
Semester 1: Commencement of classes on November 20. Dispersal of classes l, preparatory leave, and conduct of practical examination will be held between March 8 to March 15, 2024. The commencement of the theory exam will be done on March 16, 2024. Students will get a break from March 27 to March 31, 2024.
Semester 2: Commencement of classes from April 1, 2024. Dispersal of classes l, preparatory leave, and conduct of practical examination will be done between July 21 to July 28, 2024. The commencement of the theory exam will be from July 29 to August 11, 2024.
Meanwhile, Delhi University recently invited applications for 48 vacancies of Assistant Professor for Acharya Narendra Dev College. The application procedure has started, and the deadline for submitting the application form is November 30. Candidates interested in applying can do so online at colrec.uod.ac.in. For candidates in the Unreserved Category, Other Backward Class, and Economically Weaker Section, the application cost is Rs 500. Candidates from the SC, ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories, as well as women, are excused from paying the fee.
Individuals who want to apply must have a master’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 55 per cent marks. Furthermore, candidates must have passed the National Eligibility Test administered by the UGC or CSIR, or hold a PhD from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 in the world. Applicants are advised to make note of all eligibility criteria when filling out the forms. Once recruited, these candidates will earn a salary starting at 57,700 in Academic Pay Level 10 of the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix, as well as additional benefits as per the university norms.
