A police Inspector was reportedly mowed down by a tractor involved in illegal sand transportation near Mahulia Tand village in Bihar’s Jamui district.
As per police reports, one of the injured individuals, a home guard, is in critical condition.
The deceased inspector, identified as Prabhat Ranjan from Siwan district, was taken to a nearby hospital but the doctors confirmed he was brought dead.
Another home guard, identified as Rajesh Kumar, who was also injured in the accident, is receiving medical attention at a private clinic in the city. Cops have confirmed that his condition as critical.
“An inspector from Garhi police station was allegedly run over by a tractor carrying sand illegally, resulting in the injury of one home guard in Mahulia Tand village of Jamui district,” stated the police.
Upon receiving the information, police officials promptly arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation into the incident.
