Karisma Kapoor recalled a hilarious happening during the shoot of Andaz Apna Apna.

Andaz Apna Apna took the audience by storm. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Vinay Kumar Sinha, the movie featured an ensemble cast including Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karishma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal (in a dual role), and Shakti Kapoor. With its captivating storyline and stellar performances, the film became a blockbuster at that time and won the hearts of the public.

During the 1990s, Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon were two of Bollywood’s most promising actresses. In a recent chat with IMDB, Karisma opened up on the fun times on the film sets. Speaking of what a perfectionist Aamir was since that time, Karisma shared, “There was this one particular dining table scene. Ahmed was such a perfectionist from that time that he was putting the Salt and pepper, fixing the plate. That was the first time I realised that an actor can be such a perfectionist.”

Aamir, Salman, Raveena and Karishma were all working overtime back then. Karisma said “During the shoot, we were all working a lot that time, doing 3-4 shifts, and we would shoot from nine or 10 in the night to 5 in the morning. During the climax, both of us actresses were tied up on a pillar and once it was dinner break, they forgot to untie us. We were like, “Hello, hello! Yeh untie karo”.

During an interview with Hindustan Times, Raveena, who portrayed Karisma while impersonating Raveena Bajaj in Santoshi’s film, had earlier shared that the atmosphere on set was rather tense. Nevertheless, she enjoyed filming with the entire cast.

Speaking of the climax, Raveena had said in the same interview, “The boys tried to bring Karisma and me together. In fact, in the climax, there’s a scene where Karishma and I are tied to a pillar. Rajji said, ‘We won’t untie you, unless you talk to one another’. It was all so funny. I remember, while shooting scenes, we would all genuinely laugh a lot as the dialogues were so hilarious. Hamne maze bhi kiye aur jhagde bhi kiye.”
