The K-pop music scene is currently buzzing with dating rumours involving idols HyunA and Junhyung. In a recent social media update on January 18, renowned singer and songwriter HyunA shared a photo with a couple of emoticons, subtly suggesting a new relationship. The picture captures HyunA walking hand in hand with singer and rapper Yong Junhyung, a former member of Highlight, on a serene beach. Intriguingly, Junhyung also posted the same image on his Instagram, depicting the rumoured couple leisurely strolling together on a sunny day.
The bond between HyunA and Yong Junhyung dates back to their joint appearance at the 2016 F/W Hera Seoul Fashion Week hosted at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Jung-gu, Seoul. During the event, the duo showcased a close companionship, and their relationship deepened as they collaborated on the track A Bitter Day featured in HyunA’s solo album Bubble Pop.

Notably, both artists were affiliated with Cube Entertainment when HyunA was part of 4minute and Junhyung was associated with BEAST/B2ST, now known as Highlight. The social media update has now fuelled their dating rumours more than ever before, with their fans thinking that the idols are hinting at them being a couple, on purpose.
However, while the buzz is still going on and despite their public interactions, their respective agencies have maintained a reserved stance on confirming their relationship. HyunA’s agency, responded to the dating rumours, emphasising their non-involvement in her personal matters. “We are not involved in [HyunA’s] personal matters,” AT AREA said in their statement.
Shortly after, Yong Junhyung’s agency, BLACK MADE, also issued a statement, citing the private nature of the artist’s personal life and requesting understanding. “As it is the artist’s private life, it is difficult to confirm. We ask for your understanding,” their statement read.
The South Korean singer, songwriter, rapper, and model, Kim Hyun-ah, popularly known as Hyuna, 31, debuted as a member of the Wonder Girls in February 2007. She has garnered recognition for her multifaceted talents, with hits like Bubble Pop!, Red, and Ice Cream.
On the other hand, Yong Junhyung, also known as Junhyung, is also a popular South Korean record producer and actor, along with being a singer-songwriter, and rapper. He rose to fame as a member of the boy band Highlight formed in 2009.
