Air India Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Delhi Airport, All Safe
An Air India plane from Vijayawada, carrying over 100 passengers and crew, made an emergency landing at the IGI airport here due to a technical glitch in the aircraft.

New Delhi: An Air India plane from Vijayawada, carrying over 100 passengers and crew, made an emergency landing at the IGI airport here due to a technical glitch in the aircraft.

The aircraft, an Airbus A-319, landed safely and all passengers were safe, official sources said.

Full emergency was declared about 11:15am for Air India flight AI-460 coming here from Vijayawada after the pilot informed the Delhi Air Traffic Control about some issues in the plane's engine, they said.

The plane landed safely at 11:20am, and passengers and crew all were reported to be safe, they added.

Confirming the incident, an Air India spokesperson said the emergency landing was sought for its Vijayawada-Delhi flight, which had 101 passengers onboard, after some technical glitch was reported in one of the Airbus A-319 aircraft.
