New Delhi: While the Shiv Sena has threatened to interrupt Pakistani ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali's live concerts in Mumbai and Pune which are scheduled to happen this week, Delhi Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra has sent out an invite to him.
While speaking to CNN IBN, Kapil said, “Music and art has no boundary. I feel that the freedom of people is being restricted a lot. We can have the concert in Delhi, I’m sure it will be well received.”
Shiv Sena film wing Chitrapat Sena President Aadesh Bandekar had recently expressed the need to cancel the proposed show. “"We have met and asked the authorities at Shanmukhananda Hall, Matunga, to cancel the proposed show on October 9, failing which we shall protest in our style," Aadesh Bandekar was quoted as saying.
