Vijay Deverakonda has opened up about his marriage plans. Recently, the actor was promoting his upcoming movie The Family Star in Tamil Nadu when he was asked by a reporter if he is planning to tie the knot soon. To this, the actor responded by saying that he wants to get married and become a father. However, he also clarified that he wants to be a bachelor for some more time now before getting married.
“I also want to get married and become a father,” Vijay Deverakonda said. The actor also confirmed that he will have a “love marriage”. He also made it clear that his bride-to-be must be liked by his parents.
Interestingly, this comes at a time when Vijay Deverakonda’s relationship rumours with Rashmika Mandanna have also been making headlines. The two are said to be dating each other for a long time now.
In a recent interview too, Vijay was asked about his “romantic relationships” when he decided not to address dating rumours with Rashmika and rather said that he is in a relationship with his parents and brother. “Yes, with my parents, with my brother, with you, and we all are in a relationship,” he said.
Earlier this year, the rumoured couple’s trip to the Maldives fuelled speculation about a possible marriage announcement. It was also said that Vijay and Rashmika would get exchanged soon. However, the Liger actor later clarified that he was neither getting engaged nor getting married.
“I’m not getting engaged or married in February. It feels like the press just wants to get me married every two years. I hear this rumour every year. They’re just walking around waiting to catch me and get me married,” Vijay said while speaking to Lifestyle Asia.
However, it should also be noted that neither Rashmika nor Vijay have ever accepted or denied their relationship in public. The two have worked together in two films – Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019).
