Besides these locations, some of the scenes from Uttarakaanda were also shot in the HMT Watch Factory, Bengaluru. As per the reports, the shooting of Shivarajkumar, Daali Dhananjaya, and Chaithra J Achar’s scenes have taken place at these places. The shooting of the first phase continued during the elections and received an enthusiastic response, particularly from the Vijayapura natives. Reportedly, Uttarakaanda is inspired by some real-life events in North Karnataka, and other fictional events as well. The shooting of Uttarakaanda’s second phase is also reportedly going to commence soon. The locations of this film’s second phase have not been revealed till now.
The anticipation around Uttarakaanda has been amped up further after the release of Shivarajkumar’s character poster. The poster shows the 62-year-old actor’s clothes smeared in blood, holding a cigar and bullets on his arm. The veteran actor looked amazing with his intense expressions.

Uttarakaanda was initially announced as a single film, but was later produced into two parts that deal with the gangs of North Karnataka. The team had earlier released a teaser to introduce Dhananjaya’s character Gabru Sathya, a raw and rustic role that had won over users by using the perfect slang of the region. The makers have stated that the delay in the shoot was due to the meticulous planning to ensure that the North Karnataka region is portrayed as authentically as possible.
Uttarakaanda also stars Atul Kulkarni, Bhavana, Aishwarya Rajesh, Vijay Babu, Diganth and others in key roles. KRG Studios has backed this film. In an interview with a portal, the film’s director Rohith talked more about Uttarakaanda. He said, “I am excited and looking forward to the launch of Uttarakaanda which people are eagerly waiting for. This film took a lot of preparation and time to plan and execute."
