Shah Rukh Khan's Team Clarifies After Reports Of Actor's Involvement In Naval Officers' Release From Qatar

Shah Rukh Khan’s team has issued a statement clarifying the reports that the Bollywood actor helped naval officers’ release from Qatar. On Tuesday, SRK’s manager Pooja Dadlani shared the statement on her Instagram handle. In the statement, Shah Rukh Khan’s team denied any involvement with the release of naval officers and called them “unfounded”.

“Regarding the reports concerning Shah Rukh Khan’s purported role in the release of India’s naval officers from Qatar, the office of Mr Shah Rukh Khan says that any such assertions of his involvement are unfounded, emphasizing the execution of this successful resolution solely rests with the Indian government officials and unequivocally denies Mr Khan’s participation in this matter,” the statement read.

“Additionally, all matters involving diplomacy and statecraft are best executed by our very able leaders. Mr Khan, like many other Indians, is happy that the naval officers are back home safe and wishes them all the best,” it added.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan made a smashing comeback at the box office last year with three superhit films, Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. At the CNN News18 Indian Of The Year 2023 Awards last month, King Khan talked about the same and shared that he is “grateful” that fans showered love on all his films in 2023.

“I honestly believe, with all humility and gratitude, that all Indians came out, those who don’t even like me as an actor. People called me from all over the world and said, ‘We wanted to come out for Jawan, Pathaan and just be supportive of what you do as an actor’. I think this is way beyond the films. Pathaan is fantastic, Jawan is lovely, and Dunki is beautiful. It is not a comeback, it is the reiteration of the fact that I belong and that I should continue to act,” the actor said.

Next, Shah Rukh Khan is likely to share the screen with KGF star Yash for his upcoming movie, Toxic. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this as of now.
