Priyanka Chopra revealed she observed the Karwa Chauth fast for her husband Nick Jonas’ well-being and long life. The actress took to Instagram and revealed that the couple celebrated Karwa Chauth in London this year, where Priyanka is filming for Citadel season 2. In the photos she shared, Priyanka was seen decked up in a red outfit and sported sindoor. The couple video called Priyanka’s mother to make her a part of the celebrations.
In the first photo, Nick was seen helping Priyanka break her fast while her mother, Dr Madhu Chopra, participated via a video call. She then shared a picture in which she was reading a special note with Nick’s name on it. She completed the series by revealing she got a tiny mehendi drawn on her palm with Nick’s name on it. Sharing the photos, Priyanka wrote, “To all those celebrating.. happy karwa chauth ❤️ and yes I’m filmy.”
The post also marked Nick’s first appearance since he had a safety scare. For the unversed, Nick was scared for his safety and ran off stage after a laser was aimed at him during the Jonas Brothers’ Prague concert. In videos surfaced online, Nick was on stage with his brothers Kevin and Joe Jonas when he noticed a laser aimed at him. The singer panicked and ran for safety. He also signalled his security team about the possible threat.
The concert came to a brief halt. The security team identified the person who aimed the laser and immediately removed them from the venue. Several fans are upset with the concert-goer’s behaviour but were relieved that Nick was safe. The singer is yet to comment on the incident.
Meanwhile, Priyanka also recently returned to London after a short trip to India. The actress was in Mumbai for three days last week where she attended an event for a brand she represents and the premiere of the film, Paani, which she has co-produced.
