Neetu Kapoor is currently enjoying her second innings in Bollywood. The actor recently appeared on Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives as her daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni joined the third edition of the reality show. While appearing on the show, Neetu talked about how her husband Rishi Kapoor’s death impacted her and how she dealt with the grief.
Appearing on an episode of Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives, Neetu Kapoor spoke about how she was hesitant to start working after Rishi Kapoor’s death because she was afraid of getting trolled. The actor spoke to Riddhima and mentioned that she was ‘not ready’ to start working after Rishi’s death. She spoke about how Riddhima and Ranbir Kapoor pushed her to start working. Neetu said, “After Papa (Rishi) went…I was not ready. You know how the trolls are. But you (Riddhima and Ranbir) pushed me. I did a show, I did ads. I used to shake before going.”

In the same conversation, she mentioned how she was dealing with the grief up until last year. She mentioned how she has currently taken a break to focus on herself and her emotions. Neetu continued, “That’s why I have taken a backseat this year. If I stayed home and didn’t do anything, I’d go crazy. Today, I feel much better. I wasn’t good even until last year.”
Riddhima also shared her experience of dealing with Rishi’s death. She said that the family has not been able to move on from the loss. She said, “I don’t think we’ve healed (from Rishi’s death). We don’t show it, and we are not vocal about it. But andar se (from the inside), we’re still hurting.”
Neetu tied the knot with Rishi in 1980. Following her marriage, she took a break from movies in 1983. She made her comeback in 2022 when she starred in JugJugg Jeeyo alongside Kiara Advani and Varun Dhawan. Rishi Kapoor passed away in 2020 after battling leukemia.
