Legendary actors Nargis and Sunil Dutt’s love story is one of the most loved real-life tales of the film industry. Even today, people miss the beauty and simplicity that the couple had. On the occasion of celebrating love on Valentine’s Day, the daughter of Nargis and Sunil Dutt, Priya Dutt recalled the true bond of love that the couple shared. Through an Instagram post, Priya gave an insight into the couple’s extraordinary story. She posted a picture of Nargis and Sunil Dutt followed by a picture of her along with her husband Owen Roncon.

Along with sharing the nostalgic pictures, she wrote a heartfelt note which read, “As a little girl when I peeped into the world of love was through the extraordinary connection shared by my parents. Their love wasn’t just a story; it was the very essence of who they were to me.”

Marking the extraordinary saga of love, Priya called it a fairy tale where a small-town boy was attracted by the charm of a movie star. She called the match unforeseen, however, destined by fate. She added, “It speaks of my father’s devotion, especially in my mother’s lowest moments and her illness. They respected each other through every trial and turbulence of their lives.”

Adding to the emotional note, Priya mentioned that her parents loved each other fiercely and lived it wholeheartedly. Nargis and Sunil Dutt were more than just lovers, but each other’s confidants, allies, and companions. She added, “Despite their differences, their love flourished. It’s from witnessing their love that I’ve come to understand the phenomenon in its purest form; imbued with sincerity, commitment, and dedication.”

Priya concluded her heart-melting note and mentioned that she gets inspired by their love that continues to shape her. She also hoped that their bond would touch every reader as deeply as it has to her.

According to Kishwer Desai’s book titled, ‘Darlingji: The True Love Story of Nargis and Sunil Dutt’, the couple tied the knot in 1958. Followed by a secret wedding ceremony, the couple was blessed with three kids – Sanjay Dutt, Namrata Dutt and Priya Dutt.
