Malayalam Film Premalu Mints Rs 12 Crore At Box Office, Makers Release Success Teaser
On February 16, Premalu minted Rs 1.4 crore. It has now reached Rs 12.6 crore at the box office.

Girish AD’s directorial Malayalam film Premalu has crossed over Rs 12 crore at the box office after receiving positive reviews from the audience. The film stars Naslen K Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles. The music of the movie is composed by Vishnu Vijay. The film is jointly produced by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan and Syam Pushkaran under the banner of Bhavana Studios.

Premalu centres around the love story of Naslen and Mamitha in the movie. The performance of the actors is being appreciated by the critics and the audience. The film was released in theatres worldwide on February 9. On the massive success of the movie, the makers have released a video citing the success of Premalu.

Premalu, made on a budget of Rs 3 crore became an overnight sensation due to its fresh take on romance and unique storyline. This romantic comedy genre movie was expected to face tough competition with Mammootty’s horror drama Bramayugam directed by Rahul Sadavisan. With 49 per cent theatre occupancy on the eve of Valentine’s Day, the movie became a go-to spot for couples. The makers have now released a teaser celebrating the success of the movie.

In the video, a romantic love story is shown in which a character named Sachin (Nalsen) falls in love with a girl named Reenu (Mamitha) during his studies. The video then explores the ups and downs in their relationship. The makers in the video claim that the movie is successfully running in the theatres. The on-screen chemistry of Naslen and Mamitha contributed significantly to increasing the film’s charm.

The cinematography of Premalu was done by Ajmal Sabu while the editing was done by Akash Joseph Varghese. The teaser has been edited by Sanath Sivaraj. On February 16, the movie minted Rs 1.4 crore. It has now reached Rs 12.6 crore at the box office. As per the Sacnilk website, the night shows of the movie had an occupancy of 58.26 per cent.
