Telugu movie Tenant starring Satyam Rajesh hit the cinema halls today, Friday. Directed by Y Yugandhar and Anil Kadiveti, the film also features Chandana Payaavula and Aadukalam Naren in lead roles. Actors including Megha Chowdhary, Bharath Kanth, Naronha Esther, Chandu, Ramya Kolthuri and Dhana Bala are also seen in pivotal roles.
In a recent interview, Satyam Rajesh spoke about his Tenant. He shared that there is a scene in the trailer that depicts a character falling to his death from a height. The film has been accredited with an A certificate.
He also stated that he prefers movies with strong concepts rather than ones centred on action, dance, romance, or big budgets. He aims to create films that convey important messages while appreciating the art of moviemaking.
The actor shared about the film release plans. He said, “At first, we planned to release the movie on a streaming platform. However, because the story was compelling, we turned it into a short film. We were surprised by how well it did on the streaming platform. That’s why we released it in theatres now. We’ve even made some changes to improve it for the big screen.”
He even shared, “I pick the projects that come my way. If we make films without expecting anything, it could mean being sidelined in the industry for years. I only make films that I like.”
Tenant is produced by Mogulla Chandrasekhar Reddy under the banner of Mahateja Creations. Touted to be a mystery thriller, the film revolves around Goutam and his wife, Sandhya. Set against the backdrop of Hyderabad, the narrative unfolds as Goutam is arrested by the police under peculiar circumstances.
With music scored by Sahitya Sagar, the cinematography of the film is handled by Jemin Jom Ayyaneth. Other cast of the film include Megha Chowdhary, Bharath Kanth, Naronha Esther, Ramya Kolthuri, and Dhana Bala amongst others.
Satyam Rajesh is best known for films including Disco Raja, Top Gear, Cheppalani Undhi, and Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha. The actor was last seen in Geethanjali Malli Vachindi. He has a few films lined up including Punch, Gam Gam Ganesha, Matka, and WWW-Who.Where..Why (Evaru Ekkada Enduku).
