The trailer of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes was recently unveiled, delving further into the war between apes and humans.

Almost after a long wait of seven years, the sequel to the 2017 film War for the Planet of the Apes is almost here with the highly anticipated trailer out now. Titled Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, the trailer has got fans talking, who have been eagerly waiting for the film for years, now going all trending on social media. Notably, the film which is the fourth instalment in the Planet of Apes franchise looks forward to delving further into the future of apes, as grapple to take control of the planet.

Besides that, the film has also pushed the boundary of runtime, turning out to be the longest film in the franchise so far. According to a recent AMC listing, the film will clock at around 145 minutes, displaying the story of the intelligent apes as they battle for dominance against humans.

While the first film Rise of the Planet of the Apes came with a fresh perspective on the classic science fiction saga, introducing an exceptionally intelligent ape who launches a war against humankind, the film had a runtime of 105 minutes, laying the stone for a new era. Following this, the sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes expanded the narrative to explore the growing conflict between the apes and humans with a run time of 130 minutes.

Finally, the third film in the trilogy War for the Planet of the Apes continued to build on its predecessors’ success with a run time of 140 minutes, said to be the longest film in the series so far.

Now if reports are to be believed, the fourth film in the franchise has managed to be longer by five minutes and will have a runtime of two hours and 25 minutes.

The trailer of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes was recently unveiled, giving a glimpse into the story of a young ape Noa who befriends a woman named Mae.

With the action taking centre stage, the trailer shows Mae running for her life and trying to hide from a few apes, who are on the lookout to kill her. As the trailer shows Mae hiding in the grass, it later ends with Noa coming up to rescue her on a horse.

“There was a time when humans and apes lived side-by-side but it ceased to exist. Apes hunt humans, that is the law but the law is wrong," the trailer concludes, showing Noa siding with humankind as he tries to save his family.
