The powerhouse trio of Kareena Kapoor, Producer Ekta Kapoor and director Hansal Mehta came together, setting the stage for the trailer launch of The Buckingham Murders in Mumbai on Tuesday. Kareena, exuding boss lady vibes, stunned in a sleek black pantsuit, as she spoke to the media.
Speaking about her role, Kareena shared that the character deeply resonated with her, saying, Kareena said, “The character has so much soul. I thought it was the right time for me to do the character, to feel the character. Also, it is so much different from Crew or Jaane Jaan that also released this year. And I also think it is the duty of an actor to keep doing something differently over and over again. As far as balancing personal and professional life is concerned, I enjoy that hustle. I enjoy working at the same time being a mother and a wife. Jeh was there with me at the shoot.”
Adding a light-hearted moment to the event, Hansal Mehta revealed a behind-the-scenes anecdote: Jeh Ali Khan, Kareena and Saif Ali Khan’s youngest, was on set during filming in London. In a particularly funny incident, little Jai managed to swipe a continuity prop during one of the scenes. “Jeh took away a continuity prop,” Hansal said, leaving Kareena, Ekta and the audience in stitches.
Kareena Kapoor Khan shot in London for the Hansal Mehta’s crime thriller. She was accompanied by her son, Jeh Ali Khan, on this workation. Back in 2022, she would take days off from work to take Jeh sightseeing. Te film, Kareena Kapoor’s first as a producer, is based in London and follows Jasmeet Bhamra, a single mom and police officer. The story revolves around Bhamra, who faced a tough time losing her child in a shooting. The movie takes cues from Kate Winslet’s role in Mare of Easttown and a character played by Sean Penn in Mystic River, where both are single parents dealing with tragic events.
