At the song launch event of the film on July 20, the actress talked about the film's themes and what to expect.

One of the leading names in South Indian cinema, Keerthy Suresh, is set to grace the silver screen with Raghu Thatha, an upcoming Tamil language release. A few days ago, the film’s song launch event took place in Chennai, where the actress discussed her experience and clarified an issue surrounding the release.

The song launch event of Raghu Thatha in Chennai was attended by the whole cast and crew of the film. During the media interaction, the film’s lead, Keerthy Suresh, revealed that initially, she was unsure about taking the role, thinking the character may not suit her. She praised the vision of the director, mentioning how he was able to mould her into the character that was required.

She was then asked about the issue of showcasing a possible anti-Hindi theme in the release. According to her, the film’s story is very different and explores different types of tyranny, issues related to women and more. The actress stated, “Raghu Thatha is a full-fledged comedy and it doesn’t talk about Hindi imposition, it talks about imposition on women.” She added, “Look at the picture and know what kind of stuff it is. We have talked about general imposition and we have given Hindi as an example to relate the story.” Raghu Thatha does not include any political themes and is expected to be a comedy entertainer. Keerthy hopes that the audience will love the kind of humour presented in the release and the message being imparted.

The film is directed by Suman Kumar, also credited as its writer. The cast includes Keerthy Suresh as the lead along with MS Bhaskar, Devadarshini and Ravindra Vijay in supporting roles. As per the information, it is the first Tamil language production of Hombale Films, produced by Vijay Kiragandur. For music, the makers roped in composer Sean Roldan. The cinematography of the upcoming film is done by Yamini Yagnamurthy and TS Suresh is the editor. It is set to hit the theatres on August 15.
