Many actors and actresses have come out in support of Darshan and said that he will get justice. Now, veteran actress Malashree has also come out in support of the actor. Talking to the media about Darshan’s case, Malashree said, “I believe in justice and God. It was Darshan who introduced my daughter Aradhana to the industry through the film Kaatera; so my daughter Aradhana and I will be forever grateful to Darshan. The love shown by Darshan cannot be forgotten,” she added. Malashree said that he is different from the things she heard and saw. “I really don’t know what to say about the incident that has happened now. There is a belief in justice. Hope it will turn out good for Darshan,” Malashree further added. She also said Darshan’s wife Vijaylaksmi is a strong woman, and has seen many ups and downs in life.
Darshan is the prime accused in his fan’s Renukaswamy’s murder case. He was shifted to Bellary jail early Thursday after a five-and-a-half-hour journey through Andhra Pradesh. Nine co-accused of the actor were shifted to different jails across the state. Bellary Jail assigned him prisoner number 511 and lodged him in a high-security cell with a floor area of 10 by 10 metres. Darshan reportedly refused breakfast and lunch, saying he was “stressed”. According to sources, Darshan was taken in a Bolero with two escort vehicles and left the jail premises at around 4.10 am on a route that was kept top secret to avoid media and fan attention.
The convoy took the NH-44 (Bengaluru-Hyderabad) via Mehkri Circle, Yelahanka, Devanahalli and entered AP. From Anantapur, they took the state highway and reached the Central Jail in Bellary, 330 km away, at 9.50 am.
