Kannada actress Mandara Battalahalli needs no introduction. Within a short period, the diva created a huge fan base with her work. She has worked in popular movies like Hosa Dinachari, Padavi Poorva and Aachar & Co., to name a few. However, recently, the actress has shared her journey of stepping into the entertainment world, which is currently garnering everyone’s attention. Let’s take a look.
Mandara Battalahalli studied engineering but since childhood, she has had an interest in acting. When she was small, she initially got offers for child artists, so from a young age, she had little experience in acting. But the more offers came her way while she was doing her engineering degree.
Then one day, her mom went to her college to make a request. She went to talk to the HOD for her daughter so that the HOD would allow her daughter to continue her course again after one year. However, it was not possible; finally, Mandara decided to complete her degree first.
Mandara learned acting in theatre troupes before starting her film career. She has learned acting from all these teams, like scene, stage talent and instinct. After completing her engineering degree, she started learning to act from the Drishya team.
Mandara started her acting career with the 2022 movie Old Monk, in which she played the role of Hero’s sister. Later in the same year, she made her debut in the lead role in the film Hosa Dinachari. The movie was written and directed by Vyshak Pushpalatha and Keerthi Shekhar. It also featured Aruna Balaraj and Vivek Dev in pivotal roles.
She came into the limelight with her fourth movie, Aachar & Co. The comedy-drama film, directed by Sindhu Sreenivasa Murthy, also starred Sindhu Sreenivasa Murthy, Anirudh Acharya, Harshil Koushik, Nisha Hegde and Sonu Venugopal.
Mandara was recently seen in the sci-fi film Blink. The movie cast Vajradheer Jain, Suresh Anagalli, Chaitra J. Achar, Kiran Naik, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Yashaswini Rao, and Murali Shringeri in key roles. Written and directed by Srinidhi Bengaluru. It is produced by Ravi Chandra AJ under the banner of Janani Pictures. While Prasanna Kumar scored the music for Blink, its cinematography is handled by Avinash Shastry.
However, apart from acting, Mandara has a hobby of photography and writing short stories. She is also a dancer and knows two dance forms: Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi.
