Popular singer-songwriter Younha is all set to celebrate her 20th anniversary since her debut, thus gearing up to mark several events as part of the celebrations. BTS’ RM, who earlier collaborated with the Korean singer on her song ‘Winter Flower’, has now also joined in. In a video clip shared across social media platforms, RM while introducing Younha’s 20th Anniversary Unpack Event ‘Y’ shares some of his special moments. The BTS member welcomed fans to the 20th Anniversary Unpack Event, noting that 1 September 2024 will mark the 20th anniversary of Younha’s debut. He also shared his excitement upon being able to share the special moment with everyone.
“Starting with her single album ‘YUBIKIRI’ in 2004 until her 6th album ‘END THEORY’ in 2023, her music has always accompanied us in our daily lives, making us laugh, cry, and comfort us," RM said.
BTS’ RM on collaborating with Younha
Sharing his own experience as a Younha fan, the Kpop star further opened up that he first heard ‘Twenty-Second Road’ through Cyworld BGM at the age of 16 and grew up listening to the song for six years till the age of 22.
“I remember sharing the many worries that came to me as a 22-year-old. Like that, my senior’s song has always been a part of my life and playlist," he added.

He then went on to share his gratitude on being able to collaborate with the singer on the ‘Winter Flower’ song. “Even though I didn’t have much time at the time, the fact that we could talk about the song together was a precious and happy moment for me. I’m still grateful that I was able to participate in the process of creating my senior’s story," he said.
Concluding the video on a happy note, RM on Younha’s behalf described the 20th anniversary event as a gift to everyone who cared for the artist. The BTS member also shared rich plans for the event which included a wide variety of performances, albums, original content, exhibitions, and even goods.
Younha’s plans as he steps into her 20th year
The 35-year-old Younha who marked her debut in 2004 has grown out to become a significant figure in both the Korean and Japanese music industries. Over the years, she has gradually made her way through Korea, releasing several show-stopping and loved songs.
Notably, as she prepares to celebrate her 20th debut anniversary, the singer has decided to mark the same by releasing a new album, performances, and others.
Recently, she also revealed her 20th-anniversary edition special music video, ‘Waiting’.
