Anil Kapoor's Romantic Note To Wife On 40th Anniversary Goes Viral: 'Love You More Than Words Can Express'
Anil Kapoor expressed his love for his wife Sunita Kapoor with a note, on the occasion of their 40th marriage anniversary.

Anil Kapoor has always been candid about his professional and personal life. The actor has gone through several ups and downs in his career, spanning more than four decades. The actor who is married to Sunita Kapoor is celebrating his 40th marriage anniversary today. To make this occasion even more special, Anil Kapoor penned a wholesome note for his wife, along with some nostalgic snippets from their lives.

On Sunday, Anil Kapoor shared several heartwarming throwback pictures of his wife, Sunita Kapoor, on his Instagram handle. The collection of ten photos includes their wedding pictures, a family photo featuring their children—Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, and Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor—during their childhood, along with a mix of both new and nostalgic golden moments.

Along with the pictures, Anil Kapoor wrote a heartwarming note for Sunita as the caption. It read, “Forty years ago today, I married the love of my life, my best friend, and my rock. Sunita, our journey began 11 years before that, and every moment since has been nothing short of epic. From our early days of love and laughter to raising our beautiful family, we’ve created countless memories that fill my heart with joy and pride.”

He added, “Our marriage has been a tapestry of adventures, challenges, and triumphs, all woven together with the threads of unwavering love and mutual respect. You’ve stood by me through thick and thin, and your strength, grace, and compassion have always inspired me to be a better man. Thank you for your endless support, your wisdom, and your boundless love. As we celebrate this incredible milestone, I am filled with gratitude for every single moment we’ve shared. Here’s to the past 40 years, and to many more decades of love, laughter, and togetherness. I love you more than words can express, Sonu! Happy anniversary, my love @kapoor.sunita.”

At a recent event, Anil Kapoor had opened up on how his wife, designer Sunita Kapoor supported her financially during challenging times. Anil Kapoor said, “In my life, when I first met Sunita, 50 years ago… When I met her, obviously I was not doing very well financially. She would take care of a lot of things, and that’s how we shared the load. She stepped forward to share the load where money was concerned. It’s not only about doing household jobs.” Anil Kapoor added that he couldn’t afford many small things like travelling or dining in a restaurant when he was struggling. But he didn’t have to even tell Sunita about it. She would help without having to ask for it.

Anil Kapoor and Sunita’s love story is an interesting one. When Anil Kapoor was new in the industry, he would spend his evenings with his friends from the industry. They would talk about their future in films and pull each other’s legs. On one such evening, one of his friends gave him Sunita’s number to prank call her. She was a successful model back then. After being persuaded by his friends, the 67-year-old actor called Sunita and immediately fell in love with her voice. It was much later that they met each other in person at a common friend’s party, and both realised that they had found their perfect soulmates in each other.

The duo got married on May 19, 1984, and the couple was blessed with three children, Sonam Kapoor (born in 1985), Rhea Kapoor (born in 1987), and Harshvardhan Kapoor (born in 1990). Interestingly, all three children have followed in their parent’s footsteps and have entered the film industry in one way or the other. While Sonam and Harsh are actors, Rhea is a filmmaker and producer.

Anil Kapoor last acted in the film Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand.
