Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan are setting couple goals with their latest picture. On Tuesday night, Big B took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) handle and shared a photo in which he was seen holding an umbrella for his actress-turned-politician wife. While Amitabh sported a white kurta pyjama, Jaya looked graceful in a blue salwar suit. “T 5074 – …. and the rain it raineth every day .. even on set at work,” Big B wrote.

Needless to say, the picture has left netizens in complete awe. “Best wishes. May you live happily with your family,” one of the fans wrote. Another user called them, “beautiful couple”. “What a beautiful pair ,” a third comment read.

Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan have been married for 51 years now. The two tied the knot in June 1973 and have two children – Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Nanda.

In April this year, Jaya graced an episode of her granddaughter Navya Nanda’s ‘What The Hell Navya 2’ when she talked about Amitabh and revealed that she does not hide anything from him. “My closest friends are inside my house. It’s true, my husband is my best friend. I don’t hide anything from him,” the veteran actress said.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is currently basking in the success of his latest release, Kalki 2898 AD. His performance as the legendary Ashwatthama has received immense praise from the audience. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film recently hit theatres and is doing good business at the box office. Kalki also stars actors Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan, among others in the lead.

Recently, Big B also took to his social handle and penned a gratitude note for the success of the film. “T 5062 – the essence of KALKI resounds within and without .. and my gracious gratitude,” he wrote.

Next, Amitabh Bachchan will soon be reuniting with Deepika for the Hindi remake of The Intern with Deepika Padukone. He will also be hosting the upcoming season of Kaun Banega Crorepati.
