In a tragic incident, a devastating landslide struck the Wayanad district in Kerala which has claimed 300 lives. The incident occurred due to heavy rains that triggered the landslide, burying homes and disrupting local communities. Many celebrities have come forward and offered funds for the victims. Allu Arjun donated Rs 25 Lakh to the Kerala Chief Minister’s relief fund and prayed for the victims.
He took to his X handle and wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the recent landslide in Wayanad. Kerala has always given me so much love, and I want to do my bit by donating ₹25 lakh to the Kerala CM Relief Fund to support the rehabilitation work. Praying for your safety and strength. @CMOKerala”. The Rescue teams, including Indian Army, NDRF along with local emergency response departments are working against the time under harsh conditions in Kerala’s Wayanad to search for survivors trapped in collapsed buildings.

Megastar Mohanlal, who serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Territorial Army, also visited the landslide-hit Wayanad on Saturday. Dressed in his army uniform, Mohanlal held a discussion with the officers before heading to the affected areas. The actor, who was honoured with the lieutenant colonel rank in the Territorial Army in 2009, demonstrated his commitment to service by offering support and solidarity during this crisis.
The actor had also shared another post urging the public to avoid spreading false information regarding the incident. He spoke about the importance of staying safe and responsible. He wrote, “In light of the ongoing heavy rainfall and the natural disaster, please make every effort to stay safe. Fully abide by the government orders and avoid travel as much as possible.
