Aamir Khan On The Prospect Of Remarriage: 'I'm 59, Mushkil Lag Raha Hai'

Aamir Khan frequently makes headlines not only for his films but also for his personal life. The 59-year-old actor, who has been married twice and divorced both times, first tied the knot with Reena Dutta in 1986 during his early years in the industry. Their marriage ended in 2002. In 2005, Khan found love again and married Kiran Rao, but they too decided to part ways in 2022. Recently, during a chat on Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast, Aamir opened up about the possibility of remarrying. Although he acknowledged that getting married again at his age might not be realistic, he admitted that he enjoys companionship and dislikes living alone. Despite his divorce, Aamir shared that he remains close friends with both of his ex-wives.

The superstar shared, “I’m 59 now, abhi kahan shaadi karunga, mushkil laga raha hai. (Where will I get married, it’s difficult right now). I have so many relationships in my life right now, I’ve reconnected with my family, I have my kids, I have my brother and sisters. I’m trying to be a better person. And professionally, too."

During the interview, when Rhea Chakraborty asked Aamir Khan for advice on relationships, the actor declined to offer any guidance. Aamir explained that after his two unsuccessful marriages, he felt he wouldn’t be the best person to provide such advice. However, he admitted that “I don’t want to live alone. I want a partner. I’m not a loner. I like companionship. At this point, I’m very close to Reena, I’m very close to Kiran. We are one family. Life has no guarantees. You can’t be sure of even a single day. I can’t trust my own life, how can I trust someone else’s life?"

With Reena Dutta, Aamir shares two children, Junaid and Ira Khan, while with Kiran, the superstar welcomed a son, Azad, in 2011.

On the work front, Aamir Khan, who was last seen in the 2019 movie, Laal Singh Chaddha, recently completed filming for his upcoming movie, Sitaare Zameen Par. Directed by RS Prasanna, this film will see Aamir reuniting with Darsheel Safary, who previously worked with him in Taare Zameen Par. The cast for the new film also includes Genelia D’Souza.
