Ranveer Singh has been appointed as the Indian brand ambassador for Switzerland Tourism. The campaign titled 'InLoveWithSwitzerland' shows Ranveer Singh enjoying the best of the sights of Switzerland.

Assam government roped in actor Priyanka Chopra to be the brand ambassador of the State’s tourism for two years. Assam Tourism Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that they approached Sachin Tendulkar, but he refused.

Gujarat Government appointed Amitabh Bachchan as the brand ambassador for tourism. The Gujarat tourism reportedly saw a hike of 30% following the campaign.

Britain's national tourism agency appointed Saif Ali Khan in 2015 to promote an India-centric British campaign. The actor and producer was signed for the campaign known as 'Bollywood Britain'.

Canada Tourism Commission roped in Akshay Kumar as its ambassador for India in 2010. The actor is a popular name in the country with his films like Namastay London and Singh Is Kinng. He also carried the Olympic torch for Canada in Toronto during this year's Olympic Torch Relay.

Actor Aamir Khan was appointed by the tourism ministry to promote Incredible India. The campaign was titled 'Atithidevo Bhava' which means 'guests are like god'.
